Tata IPL 2022 Preview : Delhi Capitals
Delhi Capitals has reached final just once in year 2020 where they had lost to Mumbai Indians in Dubai, yes they have been able to to reach playoffs in last 3 previous seasons but still they haven't won an IPL trophy yet and have been really disappointed for their fans, they used to finish bottom 2 before the 2019 season. When Shreyas Iyer took as a Captain of Delhi Capitals the team started to winning the matches and were reaching playoffs but due to injury he got ruled out of previous season and Risabh Pant was made Captain and when he returned in 2nd leg he was made Captain again and hence he left Delhi Capitals.
They had retained Risabh Pant, Akshar Patel, Anrich Nortje and Prithvi Shaw before the Auction, they had tried to get most of their player back in the auction table but they were unable to do so, but still their team looks so good on paper, they have got David Warner, Mustafizur Rahman, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Mitchell Marsh and many more big match winning player. They have explosive opening pair of Prithvi Shaw and David Warner, but problem is David Warner is not going to play initial matches as he is going to attend the funeral Of Late Shane Warne in Australia who died on 4th of March.
Risabh Pant led Delhi Capitals will look to win trophy this year as they really have a superb squads, they really have got many match winner in their team this year. Their batting lineup consisting of really explosive and power hitting batsman but if Anrich Nortje is unavailable there bowling lineup slightly looks weak, their spin attack is good consisting of Kuldeep Yadav and Akshar Patel. When their all overseas player will be available the 4 player that will make it to playing X1 are David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Rovman Powell and Anrich Nortje.

Risabh Pant : he had been average from last 2 season with bat, and will be looking to score lots of runs from him, he was made Captain of Delhi Capitals the previous season he had flaws in his captaincy when under pressure and had made some bowling changes wrong, he should have learned many things from last year as a Captain, Delhi ranked No 2 in the points table last season but they lost their both of their games in the playoffs, Delhi lost Qualifier 1 against Chennai Super Kings and Qualifier 2 against Kolkata Knight riders and he must be eyeing trophy this year.

David Warner : for David Warner last season was very controversial and was removed from the Captain and from Playing X1 of Sunrisers Hyderabad due to his bad form, fans critized the Hyderabad team a lot when they took this decision, obviously it was a really bad decision they then didn't got settled opening pair after they had removed Warner from the playing X1 but Warner gave them answer in his own way by winning Player Of The Series award in T20 world Cup for winning team Australia. Then he was also not retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad and made his way to Mega Auction, in the Auction Warner is picked by Delhi Capitals the team which he played his first IPL game and also had scored century for Team many years ago, franchise will be hoping him to score lot of runs in this season. He has got Prithvi Shaw a explosive opening partner with him which will take pressure from him. He won't be available for few of the initial matches as he is going to attend the funeral of Shane Warner which is going to held in Melbourne on 30th of March.

Akshar Patel : he has been one of The best bowler of Delhi Capital since he joined the franchise, he takes wickets and also reamains economical. Because of his fabulous performance he was retained by Delhi Capitals Franchise, they will be hoping akshar to do really well not just as a bowler but also as a batsman at Number 7, akshar Will also look to perform well and to cement his place in Indian Team.
Delhi really have a Good Team to reach the playoffs But Still They Will have to perform on ground.
